Great for Emergencies, February 11, 2012 By johnehogan

Despite the product claims and such this unit runs a 13 amp Skill saw just fine. Also a high pressure (160psi) Air compressor with an 8 gallon tank I have runs on it as well (not well but it runs).. I got it to run my Well Pump (8 amp 120 volt) and my septic pump (120 volt and around 8 amp) during emergency power outages here in Florida. Yes, I have a regular 1 horse 240 volt well pump but got another one at 120 volt 1 horse and put it inline just for emergency operations and this little gem of a generator runs the 120 volt pump just dandy :)

Overall it is very stingy on fuel so long duration's of outages will not cost an arm and leg to run what you need to run to survive! Having Water, a way to pump OUT your poop is a necessity during any emergency - Look no further than during hurricane Katrina for evidence of this and how badly people there were prepared. IF the smart man rations there usage of such a device and is prepared, it can serve you well for MONTHS of outages for your basic of needs.

I LOVE THIS ITEM as it will pump my fresh and good water up to 20 feet high from my well head (I have a home on pillars) and don't have to bother with carrying it all the way up here (I am older and handicapped so carrying water 150 feet or so is not an option).. I recommend this product for those survivalist who know how to ration their power usages to maintain some semblance of modern living and conveniences today...

Great small generator, December 31, 2011 By Ron

Generator arrived well packaged, good start! Opened it up put oil and gas in it, 1 or 2 pulls started right up. Started to test it with 250 watt spotlight then put electric 750 watt space heater, ran great. Very good small generator, only wanted this to run fridge and a couple of florecent lights during power outtage, have a bigger generator for running whole house if I need to run dryer. This unit uses much less gas than bigger unit. This generator will not run your whole house, not made for that, made to run fridge and a few lights. Well built, very impressed!

This is the perfect size to run our camper in the fall. It runs everything except the a/c. It lasts along time on a few gallons of gas.

meets requirment, September 12, 2011 By Old timer

We ordered this generator for one purpose, to run our sump pump. As stated in another review, this generator is shown as 1500 watts starting/ 1200 max watts. The only place I saw that the continuous use is 1080 watts, was on the box the generator was shipped in. It's not listed with the generator specifications in the owners manual. It should be. It does run our pump with no problem so meets requirment. If you plan on running lights, frig, & sump pump, you'll need a bigger generator.

Champion 1,500 Watt generator, August 12, 2011 By Phoxxey

No complaints from me in any way. This little gem started and ran right out of the box after I added fuel and checked the oil. We used it often the first week because we camp in a 5th Wheel in a remote area using solar power. When the batteries didn't charge because of the overcast or rainy weather, the generator not only did the charging but ran our microwave, lights and fans as well. This is a great piece of equipment.

I just recieved this GENERATOR and cann't be more pleased !!! I have owned the 2000 watt ALLPOWER generator and this 1500 watt CHAMPION does evrything that the ALLPOWER does with a lower wattage rating. This Generator runs alot quiter then I expected. The Generator built is TOPS with all metal construction. I did alot of research on the CHAMPION generator and they deserved a 5 star rating. The shipping package was not damaged and everything was shipped with no problems. I'm sold on CHAMPION GENERATORS !!!!!! You can not go wrong with CHAMPION !!!!!

Not Bad at All, June 21, 2011 By Recontaz

This little generator is not bad at all. Once it arrived in the mail. I added the oil and read the starting instuctions and it started right up without any problems. I ran it for about 2 hours outside and it putted alittle bit here and there, but ran just fine. I wanted to test it , so later that night. I hooked it up in the back on my patio and wanted to see what emergency things it could run. I just got this generator for quick emergency situations and camping.

I hooked it up out back with these things attached. First I had a flood light and then I added two small lamps at 75 watts apiece. Then I hooked up my small LCD TV and the cable box to it and it kept on running. Then I hooked up my alarm system even though it had a back up battery, just wanted to see what it could run. At this time still running smoothly. Last I hooked up my wife's computer and cell phone. This little generator will help you in a quick emergency situation and works well. I;m sure it will work just fine out camping also. ITs not for running awhole lot of stuff in your home.

It is a tad loud, but that's to be expected. If you want something a little quieter, you will have to cough up about $1000 dollars more for a Honda, and believed me for the money its not going to be that much quieter. Yes it will be about 8 to 10 db's quieter, but in a emergency situation who's thinking about how quiet it is. Just give me some power, that's the main thing.

One thing that would be nice and the only reason I gave it a 4, is because of the 10A socket, should be at least 15 or maybe 20 amp fuse. Don't get me wrong, I knew it had a 10 amp fuse and that is ok, just saying would be nicer if it was a larger amp fuse.

I would recommend this product for emergency and camping, its a great and good product with a excellent warrenty.
