Powerful, Long-Lasting OHVI Engine

The Generac OHVI (Overhead Valve Industrial) engine is the only engine designed specifically for generator use. Generators are often required to run for hours at a time, or even day after day. It offers advanced heat reduction technology such as plateau-honed cylinders that lessen break-in time, plasma moly ring seals that help to keep excess oil out of the cylinder, and graphite piston inserts that provide a smoother surface for the piston to move against--all helping to contribute to a significantly longer engine life.

Maintenance costs are reduced with a spin-on automotive-style oil filter that's larger than a standard filter, catching more particles so oil stays cleaner for a longer amount of time. It is everything that was promised, February 21, 2011 By Superturbo

Assembly was fast and easy; by the book. It came with 2 quarts of oil, an extra oil filter, an extra air filter, an extra spark plug, a spark plug wrench, a battery charger and fuel stabilizer. The electric start works great. The pull start will start the engine after 3 pulls. The frame is well built. It is very easy to move around. I haven't burned a full tank of fuel yet, but so far everything meets my expectations. I bought this generator to power 3 refrigerator/freezer units and my gas furnance fan. The generator noise isn't offensive but it isn't quiet either. Delivery was 1 day earlier than the estimated delivery date. If the hours per gallon were a little more and the generator was a little quieter, I would give it 5 stars.

This is an outstanding product that was just put to the test last week. I was able to power my essentials (2 Fridges, lights, furnace, well pump, sump pump, tv, dvd, 2 cooking plates, crock pot, and my neighbors furnance, and never exceeded 50% load. We usually ran at 20% making my effeciency much higher. I actually got 20 hour run times on one tank of gas (9 gallons). The only time I stopped running this machine was to fill it with gas, and change the oil. This is a great, reliable, effecient, reliable, powerful, reliable unit. Did I mention it was reliable?
